Types Of Animations

In this blog I will be telling you about the different types of animation, I will also be telling you and describing 2 different animations.

Okay so let’s start with with a simple question: how many types of animations are there?

There are many types of animations so I will give you a few:

  • Cell Animations,
  • Computer Animations,
  • Stop Motion Animations,
  • Web Animations, (this is where small animations are made to decorate their websites)
  • Jab Animations ( this is where you can upload your photo and insert into a funny pre – existing animations)

So I am going to be to telling you about cell animations and stop motion animations.

Cell Animations:

A cell animation is an animation that uses a series of drawings on pieces of transparent sheets. The drawing are then laid in top of each other to combine objects characters etc for their animations, these are then slightly changed between the drawing to create the illusion of movement, this is so they can make their animations.

Stop Motion Animations

A stop motion animation is where a model or a puppets (shadow puppets were used in early stop motion) is shot a frame at a time, with tiny changes that are made between each frame.

What Is Rotoscoping And Where It Is Used??

In this blog  I will be explaining about rotoscoping, and include an example of where it is used.

So let’s start off with a simple question: What is rotoscoping??

Rotoscoping  is a device that projects and enlarges individual frames of filmed live action to permit then to be used to create a cartoon animation and composite film sequences. (Google)

So in my own words you can use rotoscoping to make an animation or even a film. Before they make they animation they first bring in people and act it out and they record it, then they use rotoscoping to turn that recording in to an animation.

So where is it used??

Well rotoscoping are used for many different types of cartoon or movies do here are a few examples:

  • Looney tunes,
  • Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,
  • Lord of the Rings (1978),
  • Peter Pan,
  • But rotoscoping is used a lot  in the Disney studios.

When Referring To Animation What Is Rendering?

In this blog, I will be telling you what is rendering when you are referring to animation.

So first of all what is rendering?

Rendering is the process of generating an image from a model, (or a model in what collectively could be called a scene file) by means of computer programs. Also, the results of such a model can be called a rendering. A scene file could contain texture, lighting, and shading information as a description of the virtual scene.

The date that is then stored in the scene file is then passed to a rendering program to be processed and output to a digital image.

In some highly complex animations, rendering can take a lot of time as the program processes each pixel in each frame. Some programs have a low-quality render settings that allow fast test renders to make sure that the animation  models or effects are working according to expectations.

What Are The Implications Of Flash Software Running On Portable Devices?

In this blog, I will  be telling you about the implications of flash when you are using it on portable devices?

There are many implications of flash when you are you using on a portable device, but I am going to name a few:

  • Speed: When you are using Flash on a computer it is dead fast, whereas when you are using it on a portable device (such as tablet, smartphone) it goes really slow and you will have to wait ages to get it go, another problem is when  you are using it on a portable device there are other softwares that you use on you portable device and they might run slow awell, which could be a bit of a problem.
  • Mouse & Keyboard: When you are using Flash on the computer, there is a mouse and a keyboard to make using Flash easier, where as on the portable devices there are no keyboards or mouses so it will be really hard for people to make an animation.
  • Screen Size: Another reason is when you are using Flash on the computer the screen size is really good so you can see everything that you do to make your animation, where as on a portable device the screen is really small and you won’t be able to see any icons that you will have to use to make your animation.

Studying ICT

In this blog I am going to discuss whether it is better to study ICT skills to use a computer or to study computers to understand how to programme computer  software.  I am also going to be discussing about the advantages and the disadvantages.

So let’s start with studying ICT skills:

People all over the United Kingdom use simple ICT skills, these skills are using Word, Publisher, Excel, PowerPoint etc, and they also know how to use these softwares and what they are for,  an example would be that:

  • Microsoft Word: Word is used for making letters and to comment on someone else’s work.
  • Microsoft Publisher: Publisher is used for making posters, leaflets, flyers etc.

People also use ICT skills to play games, surf the web, social networking even to entertain themselves.  There are loads ICT skills, one of them you can do easily.

Whereas there are a quite a few reasons for studying computers so let’s talk about that now:

Some people when they grow up, might want to be an IT teacher or and IT technician, or they might want to carry out further with ICT, so they will look into how and they might be one.  Another reason is that if some else’s data is lost on their laptop, desktop or any device they have another person will be able to replace it right away.  So for example I am a complete thicko (but I know how to use ICT skills) and my  mate Samra knows everything about computer software, if I lose all my data, Samra will know how to restore it back.  But on the other hand it is useful to know how you do it yourself in case you friend is not there.

So they are the arguments for both ICT skills and studying computers.  So in my opinion I think it is better to know how to use ICT skills, not because I find it easy it is because I know how to use them, but I really don’t want to be an IT teacher or a technician.  But also I think you still need to learn how to study computers just in case.

Social Networking

In this blog I am going to be discussing why an organisation might want to spend their time to invest more in their business, this is called social networking.

The good points

An organisation might want spend their time to invest more in their business and in social networking to notice what products they are selling and get more people interested in their products. They might also do this to get more people to know hoe good their organisation is. Also because social networking sites are very big they have to get more things on their so they can get more people interested  it is also a good way of promoting things instead of going out themselves and prompt it by his/her self.

The bad points

But on the other hand if you give out the information it might be wrong information, so for example: if you are ill and someone else has to give the information out, they might give out the wrong kind of information.

Devices Connected To The Internet

In this blog I will be discussing the devices that are connected to the internet all around you.

People are using smart phones everyday now.  So when your smart phone is connected it is connected to the to all the other devices that are in that room. For example if one person is connected to an internet other people are connected to the same internet as you. This is an issue because people have thier private information on it like passwords, pictures and private messages. Most of some phones are now smart phones, smart phones have wi-fi and you will have to use the correct password to connect to the internet then you can access the internet without even paying and it will be very fast. In most homes the wi-fi box is used for all of the devices in your house. If your device is connected with other devices you can share pictures with them but on the other hand your smart phone could get a virus and if it is really bad you might not be able to use that smart phone again

Mobile Websites

In this blog I will be talking about mobile websites.

Websites are usually on the internet now a days you can use it on the mobile.  Mobiles are becoming more popular and people all over the world are using mobiles.

People go on the internet on  desktop to go on social networking or to order things online, and people are now using the internet on thier mobiles. this could be just to go on social networking.

Also if people go around it will make it easier for them to get things they need. If access to sites on smartphones weren’t to devlope people would lose internet in themselves, and people will lose interest in them, but mobiles are becoming to be more popular people use mobiles everyday regularly.

Mobile websites is a really good way to target younger audience that are absolutly love technology. It is also an easier way to shop around or browse a perticular website.

Monitoring Employees…

Monitoring Employees is where you might want to find out what you are up to outside of work or business, when interviewing peopl might want to know wherr you are and what are you doing when you are taking a day off work or in other words skivin. This is a good way of finding out what an employee has been doing if they have taken  time off work.

A few reasons why peopl might need to monitor them:

  • People will want to see where they are and if they are in the right place instead of being else.
  • People might not want others to be looking at them if they are doing inappropriate things.
  • Another reason why is because to see if they are on the right time.
  • People might also monitor employees because that they don’t give up the work that they are doing.

One negative example might be if an employee is making an excuse that they were ill or something, thier boss/employee could monitor thier location to see if they are doing something else or they are actually ill. And they had made a excuse they would have to be fired.

Altogether I think monitoring employees coould be used for both positive and negative.
